How Joulo connects a SolarEdge EV charger through the session export, using only your charger ID.
A SolarEdge EV charger connects without a SolarEdge login. You give Joulo your charger ID, and SolarEdge delivers your sessions in its shared export.

How the connection works
There is no upstream API for us to poll. SolarEdge shares session data as one combined export. Joulo imports that export, stages every row, and distributes the rows to accounts by matching the charger serial against the charger ID you registered.
Your charger ID is eight digits and starts with 99. You find it on the charger and in the mySolarEdge app.
Nothing in this connection can expire, because there is no token. A SolarEdge integration never flips to an expired state. Failures here are local and temporary.
Timing
The first sessions usually arrive within a week of registering your charger ID. On an older unit, where the charger ID starts with 990, it can take a few weeks. That delay sits with SolarEdge, not with the import.
One charger ID per account
A charger ID belongs to exactly one Joulo account. That rule is what keeps the same kWh from being registered twice when a charger changes hands.
MID certification
Joulo decides from the charger catalog, per model. Only the One EV Charger Pro leaves the factory with a MID meter. The standard One EV Charger does not.
Limitations
- Delivery is feed-driven, so there is no live status and no running-session view.
- History reaches as far back as the export carries. Joulo cannot request more.
